Competition - Housing in Sobradinho

2016 - Brasília, Brazil

The periphery city of Brasilia, Sobradinho, was the final destiny of the population that built Brasilia but didn't have the opportunity to inhabit it. Today, these families and descendants live far from the architecture that all Brazilians are proud of having as capital of the country. The concept we followed was of highlighting the beautiful culture of those who built Brasilia master plan as that of the “nordestino”. Therefore, the external area of each apartment brings the chance for the families to express their particularity. In the storefront, the recessed balconies give a playful dynamic to the building, showing the life inside of it.
